2026 Intro Night
Whether you’re completely new to investing or already deep into markets, Intro Night is your opportunity to learn what UAIC is all about and how you can get involved in 2026. Founded in 2009, UAIC is New Zealand’s largest student-run investing society. We are built around three pillars: education, opportunity, and community. Our members come from all faculties and year levels, united by a shared curiosity about financial markets, economics, and business.
At Intro Night, you’ll hear from our executive team about:
📈 Competitions – From stock pitch competitions to trading challenges and investment banking case events, we create pathways for students to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios.
🎓 Education Programme – Workshops covering investing fundamentals, equity research, financial modelling, and career pathways in finance.
📰 The Investment Bulletin – Our weekly publication where student writers analyse current events and explore how they intersect with economics and markets.
💼 Investment Committee – A select team of student analysts who manage the club’s investment fund, pitch NZX/ASX companies, and develop hands-on equity research skills.
🤝 Women in Finance & Mentorship Initiatives – Programmes designed to create access, representation, and meaningful industry connections.
🎉 Social & Networking Events – Mixers, panels, alumni events and collaborations with other top societies across campus.
More than anything, UAIC is about people. We are a community of ambitious, curious students who challenge each other intellectually while building genuine friendships along the way.
