Investment Committee Pitch

📢 The Investment Committee have been hard at work this semester, pitching and valuing stocks to find worthy investments.💰

🌟 We’re excited for the Investment Committee to be holding a Club wide pitch on Thursday 5th of June. Senior Analyst, Abbey Patten and Junior Analysts, Caden Van de Laak and Amelia Cave will be pitching QBE Insurance Group, a leading multinational general insurer. The stock represents the Investment Committee’s first potential exposure to the financial services sector and aligns with our broader goal to diversify across industries. Key discussion points include how QBE can sustain premium growth in mature markets, the strength of QBE’s balance sheet, the recent North American market exit, and even its $30B+ investment portfolio. The pitch has already passed our internal Committee vote by a margin of 9–2 and will now advance to being presented to the wider club. If approved, QBE will be added to our fund.
